| As Director, Alan M. Dewar B.Sc., Ph.D., FRES is the principal of the company which calls on a range of experts to supplement his own wealth of expertise and deliver services tailored to clients’ needs.
Dr. Dewar has over 40 years experience in agricultural entomological research in institutes within the BBSRC (Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council) including the Institute of Grassland and Environmental Research, Rothamsted Research and Brooms Barn Research Centre. His research includes the ecology and forecasting of cereal aphids, plus extensive work on pest control in sugar beet for which he has a worldwide reputation. He has been involved in developing most of the currently successful pest control measures used by UK sugar beet growers, including seed treatments, nematicides, and foliar sprays.

Alan Dewar has published over 250 papers to date including some 50 refereed article and over 70 conference papers. He has also written extensively for popular farming magazines for growers and crop consultants.
